About
Intention is one of the central pillars of Julia Comita’s work. The artist creates thought-provoking conscious content showcasing layers of bold hues and subjects that accent life in all its beauty. She plays with color like an artist’s palette exploding onto a canvas, creating personality-focused works that enthrall, excite, and include the viewer. Comita’s interest lies within the purpose behind her projects whether that's through the concept, casting, or both. Her many works under this lens have gone viral and won coveted industry awards including an ADC award. Her tagline “Not Just A Pretty Picture” encompasses her passion for thoughtful elegant work with a mission she can stand behind.
Comita’s background in fine art contributes to her attention to detail on and off the camera. She workshops ideas with society being a classroom for feedback. Her photos and art direction are a bold conversation within the advertising and creative space, providing a philosophical, theoretical, and social-impact perspective. The artist values collaboration while creating conversation inducing work that questions the here and now. Accessibility is a fundamental theme in Comita’s process with an aim to provide a safe space for representation and cutting-edge projects that usher in a new wave of the status quo.
The artist currently resides in New York where she is always looking for stand-out individuals to collaborate with.
