The Sacred Labyrinth is an ongoing photo series led by body painter and activist Piyali Banerjie. Piyali herself is a survivor of sexual violence and has worked with female victims of sex trafficking as well as victims of sexual abuse. The Sacred Labyrinth is her way of healing the feminine and empowering women through the painting of their vaginas.

Piyali approached me to be a collaborator several years ago and I jumped at the chance to work with her. Together with producer Numidas Prasarn, we have concepted, painted, and photographed over twenty five vaginas! Below is a sampling of our work together, which made its initial debut at Art Basel in 2017.
